Drama Queens is a Workshop run by Clare Howard for women who want to feel empowered and connected to their inner creativity (whatever that looks like for you!). Would you like to revisit your childhood ability to invent new worlds and look sideways at the one you are in? Would you like to explore the fun of using drama to do exactly that with other like-minded women? Previous experience isn’t necessary to enjoy sharing these empowering creative sessions although you will be required to laugh and have fun!.
This series of six sessions will bring you together with a small group of women to play drama games and learn techniques for exploring your creativity and expressing your ideas. The exercises we do each week will take you back to a time when anything and everything was possible, some are similar to playground games, they also involve building stories, and they are always are about finding new ways to use your body, voice or an object. At Drama Queens, everyone flourishes in their own unique way.
In this positive environment, you will experience:
the world through other people’s eyes and the perspective of life that they bring
developing your power of trusting and being trusted
creative and imaginative problem-solving
how to tap into the expressive ‘you’ that is ready to shine!
being valued as an individual and as a team member to the group
techniques for boosting your ‘stage’ presence , whatever your stage is and whatever that might look and feel like to you
If you would like to feel more confident in your sense of self, your ideas, your own unique creativity and would like to immerse yourself with other women who are ready to express themselves, then these sessions are for you.
